Friends of St Augustine’s CEP School
The Friends of St. Augustine’s CEP School (‘The Friends’) has been registered as a Charity with the Charities Commission since April 2002 (Registered Number: 1091848). Membership is open to all parents/guardians/relatives with children attending the school. We are made up of an Executive Committee consisting of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and a minimum of three other members. The Head Teacher is the President of the Association.
Our objectives, according to our Constitution, are “to advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school (not normally provided by the Local Education Authority), and as an ancillary thereto and in furtherance of this object the Association may —
- foster more extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school; and
- engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.”
Money has been raised in a variety of ways over the years. Things funded by the friends recently have been the playground markings, the willow structures, laptops for the classrooms, Football Agility Kit, funding of a Wildlife Garden and most recently an interactive whiteboard.
