School Improvement Action Plan 2018-2019

Key Issue 1 (Area for Improvement):   

Increase attainment in maths for all groups (including boys entitled to Pupil Premium funding)

Success criteria (What do we want to achieve?):

Attainment targets will be met in each year group:

By end of Term 1:

Teachers and Teaching Assistants will have received targeted quality training that will impact on pupil attainment

By end of Term 2:

Parents will be more aware how to support learning

By end of Term 3:

The teaching of reasoning will be judged as at least ‘Good’

 

Key Issue 2 (Area for Improvement):

Attainment in writing will be in-line with attainment in reading

By end of Term 3:

  The Editing and proof reading process will enable children to achieve their targets

Success criteria (What do we want to achieve?):

Develop independent thinkers that have a deeper understanding of their inner self and capabilities

By end of Term 1:

Teachers and Teaching Assistants will have received targeted quality training

By end of Term 2:

A portfolio of high quality spiritual experiences will be completed

By end of Term 3:

Children will be able to independently and eloquently express their thoughts, ideas and feelings

Key Issue 4 (Area for Improvement):   The Quality of teaching of PE

 

Success criteria (What do we want to achieve?):

 The quality of the teaching of PE  will be judged as at least ‘Good’

By end of Term 1:

Children will have access to a range of competitive sports across the school day

By end of Term 2:

Teachers and Teaching Assistants will have received targeted quality training that will impact on pupil attainment

By end of Term 3:

Teaching will be judged as at least ‘Good’ across the PE curriculum
